Tide Dominate a Depleted Spokane Side
Tacoma Tide 2-0 Spokane Spiders
The Tacoma Tide recorded 26 shots on goal Sunday afternoon against the Spokane Spiders. That stat alone tells the story of a dominating performance of the Tide’s Washington rivals. The Tacoma Tide kept possession and created chance after chance against a Spiders team that was missing players due to injuries and other reasons. The Spiders’ only substitute for this game was their player/coach, Jake Moug who was a scratch for the Tide game and available for emergency needs only. Combine that with the fact that Spokane played Kitsap last night and Sunday was a hot day in the sun, and it was likely to yield a one sided game.

Tide Squander Another Good Result
Tacoma Tide 2 - 2 Seattle Wolves
The Tacoma Tide looked like they were going to take the Tacoma-Seattle bragging rights for 2009 with a 2-1 win after drawing 0-0 in their earlier meeting in Seattle. The Tide win was aided by a red card that left them a man up for the 2nd 45 minutes of the match on their home turf. Tacoma out shot the Wolves 10-5, and led in corners with a 7-4 margin. The Tide even netted two very nice goals by Tim Grey and Rory Agu. All this, along with good possession of the ball, and a lead in the 89th minute of play, and yet the Tide walked off the pitch with a draw.

Home Win Streak Ends With a Shock
Tacoma Tide 0 - 1 Portland Timbers U-23
It took 3 years and 21 matches for the Tide to finally lose again at Curtis HS Stadium. Due to this impressive win streak, it was shocking to watch the Tide lose a match that they controlled in possession and created more chances. That said, the biggest shock of Saturday night's loss to the Portland Timbers U-23 was the way the Timbers got their decisive goal. The Timbers scored in less than 30 seconds from the opening whistle.

Tide Win in Topsy-Turvy Home Opener
Tacoma Tide 4-3 Cascade Surge
The Tide defeated the Cascade Surge by a score of 4-3 on their home turf to remain unbeaten since 2006 at Curtis HS Stadium. The Tide saw a 1-0 halftime lead slip into a 2-1 disadvantage before they came back to lead 3 goals to 2. All of this coming with a short handed Surge team after their center back, Tom Milroy was red carded for his tackle on Nick Besagno in the first half. Milroy was the last man, so not only did the foul lead to a Rory Agu PK goal, it also sent him to the locker room.
