The 2009 Tacoma Tide Open Tryouts saw the largest number of competitors in the franchise’s history. Over 50 players showed their skills in the attempt to catch and eye and join the Tide. After Day 1, the Tide invited 28 players back for Day 2 of the Open Tryouts. 23 field players and 5 goal keepers played for the opportunity to make the Tacoma Tide FC for 2009.
