Tide Dominate Outlaws but Can't Break Deadlock
Tacoma Tide 1 - 1 Ogden Outlaws

The Tacoma Tide out shot the Ogden Outlaws 12 to 1 in the second half. On the match, Tide goal keeper Jordan Jennings was forced to make only one save. Unfortunately for the Yellows, the lone save was on a penalty kick, and it was immediately swept into the goal. Jonny Broadhead, the PK taker was the one who took the rebound goal. Earlier in the half, Spencer Schomaker was opportunistic to score in the 47th minute. The Tide felt good about their chances to continue possession and grab another goal. All that was turned on its head when Tim Grey’s elbow struck the ball in his own box. A whistle, a point to the spot, and the lead evaporated.

“It’s disappointing to not get the win, but it’s just how things go sometimes,” Spencer Schomaker said afterwards. The Outlaws have matched up against the Tide less than a week before Friday night’s game. In that one, the Tide left disappointed to have a 2-2 tie slip away in the 90th minute. This time, on home turf, the tie seemed more like a loss.
