Tide Cruise for 3 Straight at Home
Tacoma Tide 4 - 1 Spokane Spiders

On a perfect night at Curtis High School, the Tacoma Tide kept their perfect home streak alive. The Tide scored 4 goals on route to their largest win of the season. The goal scoring was pretty on the whole, although, it didn’t start that way. In the 29th minute, a box filled with players turned into a own goal off a Brayton Knapp throw in. Just two minutes later, the Tide put a name on the score sheet when Ciaran O’Brien crossed into the box from the left side. Rory Agu was there to distract defender and goalkeeper and allow Spencer Schomaker to beat out another Spokane defender to head home the goal.

The score was 2-1 at half time. After controlling the first half, the Tide let in a goal just a minute before half time by Spider defender Daniel Scott. Tacoma looked like they had the game in control, but the goal kept Spokane alive. O’Brien decided to take things into his own hands, or feet. From about 25 yards out, O’Brien placed a free kick into the upper left corner with precision and power. The free kick goal was O’Brien’s second of that nature this season. The icing on the cake was laid when Mutanda Kwesele, a 2nd half substitute beat out Spokane goalkeeper Dustin Pilcher to deflect the ball on goal. Final score, 4 - 1.

The Tide take on the Yakima Reds Saturday night at Curtis High School. Game kicks off at 7:00pm
