Tide Win Home Opener !
Tacoma Tide 1 - 0 Ogden Outlaws

The Tacoma Tide made their 2007 home opener count with a little bit of everything. A 1-0 victory for the Tide kept their eager audience plenty entertained. Six yellow cards, one red card, and a first half goal were all wrapped into 90 minutes. Things got off a great start for the Tacoma FC when they drew a free kick a few yards outside the corner of the box. Ciaran O’Brien whipped the free kick in and off the head of Stephen Tangen. Tangen knocked the ball towards the back post where Rory Agu was quick to pounce. Agu’s goal in the 10th minute is his 2nd of the season.

After a good start of the game, things heated up. Tysen Gehring of the Ogden Outlaws slide in hard from the side and received a yellow card. Just two minutes later, in the 23rd minute of the game, Stephan Tangen slide in equally as hard. Tangen's tackle was deemed from behind by referee Shahram Pourazari. Pourazari pulled out a red card and sent the Tide down a man for the remaining 67 minutes.

Most of the night's affair was controlled in the midfield. Credit must be given to John Fishbaugher and Ciaran O'Brien who played all 90 minutes in the center of midfield. Despite playing with only 10 players Fishbaugher and O'Brien controlled the pace of the game and were able to fight off an aggressive Ogden team.

Daniel Prichard receives the shutout. Prichard had 3 saves on the night.
