 Tukwila, Washington: The Seattle Sounders Women of the W-League today announce their new head coach. Kent Washington native Michelle French has signed a two-year contract with the club. French is one of the most storied players in the history of women’s soccer from the state of Washington. “Frenchie,” a Sounders Women alum, has accumulated an impressive coaching resume to compliment her success on the pitch.
Amy Carnell named new General Manager of Sounders Women
Seattle Sounders FC Youth Program Director to also lead W-League Seattle Women
 RENTON, Wash. – The Seattle Sounders Women have named Amy Carnell as the team’s general manager, it was recently announced.
Carnell, the Sounders FC Director of Youth Programs since 2008, has helped build the largest youth camp system in Major League Soccer with over 6,000 campers in 2011.
W-League debuts new logo for 2012 campaign
New look and continued growth for Women's soccer
 TAMPA, Fla. – USL today unveiled the W-League’s dynamic new modern logo, ushering in a new era of exciting competitive opportunities for female soccer athletes.
The logo was developed by USL to create a dynamic brand that provides the W-League with a modern identity as it aspires to reach new levels.
Sounders Women sold to new local ownership group
Club will remain in W-League, play at Starfire in 2012
 Tacoma Football Club announces the transfer of ownership of the Tide and the Seattle Sounders Women to a new local group. Tacoma Tide FC of the Premier Development League (PDL) and the Seattle Sounders Women of the W-League have been purchased by Lane Smith and Cliff McElroy, with former owner/operator Mike Jennings maintaining a minority stake. The United Soccer Leagues (USL) approved the sale of the teams on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.
Sounders Women Come Up Short of Epic Comeback
Seattle Sounders 2 - 3 Ottawa Fury
Seattle WA - The Sounders fell short of a incredible comeback from 3 goals down after scoring 2 goals in the last ten minutes of their semi final match at Starfire. Two goals by league Most Valuable Player Mallory Outerbridge helped lead Ottawa past Seattle 3-2 and into the W-League Championship game on Sunday night. While the Fury went into halftime only up by a goal their confidence seemed to build throughout the first forty-five minutes.

Starfire Sports Stadium, Tukwila WA - The Sounders Women kept the momentum rolling towards the National Championship on at the end of July with a win over the top team in the Western Conference. The Sounders Women earned a Penalty Kick in the 9th minute, and Sophie Reiser took the opportunity to add to her team leading 7th goal of the season.

Seattle, WA – The Sounders Women entertained fans once again at Starfire Stadium with a thrilling 3-3 tie against 2 time W-League champions, the Pali Blues. The game was a roller coaster of momentum as both teams had leads evaporate. In the final minutes, it was a Penalty Kick earned by Justina MacDowell, and scored by Sophie Reiser that gave the Sounders a come back from down 3-1 to share a point a piece.

Sounders Women to Host 2011 W-League Championship
Presented by Umbro, with Washington Youth Soccer, Sounders FC, and Greater Renton FC
As hosts, the Sounders Women are auto-qualifyers for the semi-finals.
SoundersWomen.com – The Seattle Sounders Women have been selected as hosts of the 2011 USL W-League Championship presented by Umbro. The W-League Semifinals and Finals, featuring elite women’s domestic and international stars, will be held July 29-31 at Starfire Sports Campus in Tukwila, Washington, with the finals televised nationally.
